Nominated for Louis Roederer Wine List of the Year 2010
Winner Of Best London Restaurant 2010
Puddings were best..What it does right is know its locals..I imagine the clientele are loyal and regular. The prices were agreeable, suburban value well-made food. 3 stars
Don't send Gordon Ramsay off to patronise restaurants like that of Eric and Sarah Guignard. Send Eric and Sarah to advise him on how to save some of his. Now that I'd watch. 8/10.
A restaurant full of delighted foodies; which shows just how fantastic it is...my ultimate Last Supper. Sensational.
A remarkably unpretentious place serving very grown-up French food. Eric takes often simple ingredients and produces dishes that are even better than the some of their parts. 18/20
This suburban eaterie still manages to muster the kind of buzzing vibe most neighbourhood restaurants would kill for. An earthy French menu, exemplary wine list & service which is friendly & polished.
In a surprising culinary desert, the Guignards buzzy suburban spot makes an excellent local restaurant, with lovely food and a great wine list.
Possibly the friendliest, least threatening level of service ever to accompany a refined French meal. Ingredients are treated with a reverence that only French chefs accord their produce.
Now in my Top 3 favourite places to eat in Surrey - a delightful, relaxed and satisfying dining experience.

It is a decent well-run restaurant with a dedicated staff
To be able to eat such well-prepared ingredients and at such reasonable prices, certainly for food of this high quality makes this a restaurant to really go out of your way for.
Eric Guignard and his wife Sarah have enchanted locals with their tremendous French menu and sunny welcome. At last there’s a real reason to visit Surbiton!
The room is simply decorated, service is smiling and prices are a bargain for this quality of food.
A combination of excellent food and professional and attentive service with a warm relaxed atmosphere resulted in a very pleasant evening. Eric is from France and his cooking captures, distils and advances the spirit of French cuisine at its best.
The French Table is a cracker.
The food is interesting, well flavoured and good to eat, so Surbiton can proudly keep its claim to fame.
Compact, interesting and helpful, with decent tasting notes and a real effort to steer clear of box-ticking Chablis, Rioja and Sancerre.
